  • AR is a computer program that helps teachers/parents monitor children’s independent reading practice. The student picks a book at his own level and reads it at his own pace. When finished, the student takes a short quiz on the computer. (Passing the quiz is an indication that the child understood what was read.) AR gives students, parents, and teachers feedback based on the quiz results, which the teacher will then use to set goals and direct ongoing reading practice.
  • AR goals are assigned each quarter. Goals are based on the recommended points provided by the program.  Consult the calendar for due dates.
  • The STAR Test will be administered each quarter and results will be sent home to parents.
