RCSA Elementary Beach Campus Daily Schedule 2023-2024
School Hours: 7:35am-2:45pm
6:45-7:35am
Early Morning Care (Optional – Students must be registered to attend.)
-Parents must park and walk students to the gym gate. A staff member will check the student into the program.

7:35-7:55am Arrival
-7:35 AM – 2:45 PM; Drop off ends at 7:55 AM SHARP. Class begins at 8:00 AM sharp. Any student dropped off after 7:55 AM must enter through the Front Office to receive a tardy slip.
-Parents must drop off and pick up from the designated carpool lanes. Parents are not permitted to walk students up to the doors/gates. Parent must remain in their vehicles.
-Any student not picked up by 3:00 pm is brought to the Front Office for late pick-up, paying the daily rate of $20.
-RCSA-issued car tags are required for pick up from the carpool lanes. Two will be issued to each student. Additional tags may be purchased from the Front Office for $5. ID is required to purchase car tags. Only custodial parents may purchase car tags.
-RCSA Elementary follows the DCPS School Calendar.

2:45pm Regular Dismissal
1:00 pm Early Release Dismissal -Carpool will pick up in front of the gym from Lane 1 or Lane 2. Parents will place their student’s carpool tag in a visible area for school staff to call the child out of the gym, where he/she will be escorted by a school safety patrol to the vehicle. *Students must be picked up from a vehicle with an RCSA-issued carpool tag. Parents may NOT walk up to the doors/gates for dismissal. Parents must remain in their vehicle.
-Bus riders will be dismissed and board the bus with the supervision of school staff and assistance of school safety patrols at the back entrance.
-Boys and Girls Club students will be picked up by Boys and Girls Club staff members at 2:55.
-Students attending clubs or tutoring will be escorted to the cafeteria by their teachers at 2:55.
-Early Check-Out – Students being checked out of school early during regular dismissal must be signed out by 2:15pm. Students will not be pulled from class after this time due to dismissal transitions.
-Early Check-Out for Early Release Dismissal – Students being checked out of school early during early release must be signed out by 12:30pm. Students will not be pulled from class after this time due to dismissal transitions.
-Walkers - Any student picked up by a parent who is walking (does not have a vehicle) should be picked up outside the Front Office. Students that are walking will NOT be sent out until carpool traffic has diminished (3pm). *Any student that is not picked up by 3pm will remain in the Front Office for late pick-up, paying the daily rate of $20. On Early Release Days, students that are not picked up by 1:15pm will remain in the Front Office for late pick-up, paying the daily rate of $20.
3:00-3:45pm Clubs and Tutoring (Optional – Students must be registered to attend.)
-At 3:00 students will be picked up for clubs and tutoring from the cafeteria by their appropriate teachers. -There are NO student check-outs during clubs and tutoring.
-Club/Tutoring Carpool will pick up from Lane 1. Parents will place their student’s carpool tag in a visible area for school staff to call the child out of the gym, where he/she will be escorted to the car. *Students must be picked up from a vehicle with a carpool tag. Parents may NOT walk up to the door/gate for dismissal of their student. *Any student that is not picked up upon dismissal from clubs/tutoring by 4pm will be sent to the Front Office, paying the daily rate of $20.

2:45-6:00pm Boys and Girls Club (Optional – Students must be registered to attend.)
-Students will have blocks of time for homework, computer lab, centers, activities, snack, and recess.
-Parents must park in front of the gym, bring their ID to show to the Boys and Girls Club staff member, and sign their child/children out.

6:00pm Building Closed
-By law, we are required to call the authorities for any child that is not picked up by closing time.

Carpool Tags
-Parents must have an RCSA-issued carpool tag for carpool pick-up each day. This is a form of ID, so that RCSA staff members know the adult picking up is authorized to do so. Students will NOT be released to cars without an RCSA-issued carpool tag. Two carpool tags will be provided free to each student’s family. If additional tags are needed, they must be purchased from the front office for $5 (set of 2). Only custodial parents (in Focus) may purchase carpool tags after showing ID.
-If a carpool tag is not present at pick-up, the parent or guardian will be asked to get out of the carpool line, report to the Front Office, show ID to verify authorization to pick up student (in Focus), and be issued a temporary carpool tag and then return to the carpool line with the carpool tag.

*RCSA Elementary makes every effort to make informed decisions regarding student safety and reserves the right to ask any individual on school property to leave the premises if he/she is not adhering to school operating procedures.

*All volunteers entering the school for events, field trips, etc. must be cleared through Duval County Public Schools.
